Disc emulator software problem

Dec 03, Only dirty filthy pirates use that kind of software, when they aren't killing and robbing on the high seas. Of course lots of average joes use that software for completely legitimate purposes, but why should anyone care about them? Their money has already been taken. SteelRush, more than likely, part of the new copy protection just scans your system to see if there are programs that may possibly be able to copy X2, so you're a criminal who does not deserve to play X2.

Too bad this stuff has almost no effect on the real criminals, only the average joes. Dec 03, Ladder Cow wrote: Only dirty filthy pirates use that kind of software, when they aren't killing and robbing on the high seas.

Dec 03, I'm sorry Dec 03, I am still having the problem. The game ran once for me, right after a reboot, but I haven't been able to get it to go again, and I've tried upwards of 50 times. This is truly annoying. You were warned Ex Turbo Modestum. Dec 03, I am now having the same problem as well. Dec 03, Yup, same problem here after the patch. Ripped everything out that I could, tore windows registry apart and re installed X2 and it ran once. In the end I had to reformat the hard drive.

Dec 03, I had a similar issue XP In the My Computer folder, right-click on your writer. Just a suggestion Dec 03, Had this problem myself and found the fix myself as well. Looks like Securom doesn't like UDF-formatted discs in any drive.

So latter I boot up X2 and guess what? So Egosoft, what now, do I throw my game or my cd-rw in the bin? Last edited: Apr 17, Applecorp , Apr 17, Alcohol, Daemon and CloneCD all have emulators.

You are absolutely correct that these emulator blacklistings are going to turn people toward piracy. They're going the way of the music industry by alienating their paying customers. Personally I'd return it for a refund and then e-mail the gamemaker telling them why you returned it. Hopefully if enough people did this they'd rethink their ways yeah right!

Nephilim , Apr 17, Try DaemonTools 3. Praetor , Apr 17, Does 3. Sorry appear completely stupid regarding this set of posts! I have also experienced the sudden joy of the securerom warning that has turned off Countersttrike condition zero. This has followed the use of easy cd ripper.
