The cards originally shipped with ATI MMC version 7, which was decent but lacked some of the features that really made these cards work well.

ATI MMC 8 brought more recording features, including the well-liked "VideoSoap" option that allowed for filtering of the video -- restoration of cleanup. Unfortunately, I can't remember what the cure for it was but I know it was something pretty simple. I'm with you Richard I had this problem when I first bought the card..

And I remember spending days and days to fix it AGP drivers are usually on the motherboard CD. The video card driver and Catalyst are two seperate entities. First you will need to clean out any old installs. Then install the driver. Then install Catalyst. The Titan TV component is part of Catalyst and that is what has gone smoke for you to get the TV application failed to initialize message I've seen it a few times myself!

Usually you can just reinstall the Titan TV application to get around this but as you have now started messing with the driver and Catalyst a full reinstall will be required.

My advise is to start with earlier versions and move up from there as the install program will find any newer versions on your computer and install them instead. Going backwards with this software can be very frustrating. The only way around this that I have found is to manually search and destroy the newer versions hidden in temp files.

Then install each component seperately and in the order listed important! Reboot your computer after installing each component. You people give up too quickly. Video requires patience, and that includes the hardware, which is a wee bit more complex than normal stuff.

I have 2 computers with AIW 's. Both had the TV part fail this week immediatly agter a critical fix was installed automatically by windows. Both started working again when I did a sytem restore to the day before windows installed the fix. I use this technology almost everyday and have been using AIW's continuously since Over the years I have had my share of problems with it, usually with the Titan TV application going flakey, but nothing that has involved days to fix or having to reload system AGP drivers or reseat the video card.

Usually I can just reload the application that has "broken" and get on with it. Sometimes a reinstall is necessary. OK guys I actually never give up.. I'm starting again When they initially released the All-In-Wonder Pro back in October of last year, ATi introduced a number of new features into their popular multimedia line of video cards.

The All-In-Wonder Pro was the first product in the line-up to offer dual-monitor support. It was also the first to have an integrated FM tuner, and the Remote Wonder II made its debut, although it didn't ship with the card. To compliment all of the new features, and to tweak existing features like the relatively new EasyLook menu, ATi also updated their Multimedia Center software as well.

The total package made for a very compelling product that offered solid gaming performance, and the most complete multimedia feature set of any All-In-Wonder product to date.

But the clock speeds we were able to attain with our review card speak well for the overall possibility of a do-it-yourself performance boost with the XT. The new remote offers improved range, more responsive mouse control, and configurable buttons, all of which make for easier interaction with Multimedia Center than the original Remote Wonder.

ATI also had the foresight to include an FM radio antenna. Despite the overclocking-friendly nature of the All-In-Wonder XT card, it would not be very helpful to test with those settings. Since no two chips are alike in terms of heat tolerance, you folks playing along at home might not be able to repeat our results if we overclocked the chips.

Therefore, we tested with only the card's default settings, which delivered, as expected, midrange performance. As our testing indicates, you should be able to play most current games with the All-In-Wonder XT at the industry sweet spot of 60 frames per second or better using a 1,x resolution, bit color, and with varying degrees of antialiasing and anisotropic filtering. Unreal Tournament test: Flyby-Antalus in fps Longer bars indicate better performance.
