It goes all sci-fi, like an instrumental version of The White Noise. The odd thing is the track very slowly fades away, melting the record out rather than going out with a bang.

It leaves the listener a little underwhelmed at the end of listening which may in part account for the albums lukewarm reputation but whimpering climax aside, this is a great album….. The effects — burbling electro noises, high-pitched twees, and other sci-fi sounds — are even more prevalent, erupting out to drown out the drum, guitar, and bass rhythms, as if to make full use of the quadraphonic sound of the original LP. And like those records, Planeten Sit-In represents cosmic space rock in its purest and trippiest distillation…..

The listener is wakened up with strong drones, opening up a voyage trough the hallway of mirroring illusions, leading to a calm, large musical void. Heavy experimental zones follow up, leading to an acid rock jam building over pulsing synths and introducing a nice piano riff. Hovering cosmic corridors lead to more longer progressions in abstract electronic space, and a free form architecture of sounds is revealed. Quite interesting record still, I would claim…. Because if the useless Sci Fi Party and the ugly Gilles Zeitschiff have nothing really exciting, the unrecognized Planet Sit-In deserves quite a bit more light.

Without a doubt the most triumphant disc of the band to Kaiser, it has this double quality to be a particularly successful mixture of The Cosmic Jokers and Galactic Supermarket, from which it manages to eliminate the respective defects.
